Fortex is the engineering contact, the buyer, the inspector and the shipper. When something moves, one person tells you. When something slips, the same person tells you, before you ask.

    Specification and manufacturability review

    Before a price exists, an engineer reads the drawing. Tolerances that add cost without adding function get flagged. Grades that are hard to source in your quantity get an alternative with the trade-off written down. You decide; we do not silently substitute.

    Supplier qualification

    We buy from shops we have audited and continue to audit. New suppliers run a first article before they run a production order, and no order is split across an unqualified second source without telling you.

  • 03

    Consolidation

    Composites, machined parts, fasteners and bearings on one order, one inspection pass, one shipment and one set of documents. Consolidating at origin usually beats four separate freight bills and four separate customs entries.

    Freight and terms

    EXW, FOB, CIF or DDP. Sea, rail or air, quoted against your delivery date rather than our convenience. Export packing to sea standard by default, because sea packing survives air and the reverse is not true.

    Documentation

    Commercial invoice, packing list, material certificates, inspection report, and the certificate of origin or fumigation paperwork your entry needs. Sent as a pack on dispatch, not assembled after your broker asks for it.

  • 06

    After dispatch

    Discrepancies get answered with the inspection record from that batch, not a request for photographs and a week of silence. Where we got it wrong we replace it.

Services

Terms we quote against

Quotations state the Incoterm, the named place and the currency on the face of the document. Fortex quotes in USD or CNY depending on terms; the RFQ form asks which you need.

Ex Works — you arrange collection from our supplier or consolidation point.
FOB
Free On Board — we deliver, clear for export and load at the named Chinese port.
CIF
Cost, Insurance and Freight — we cover sea freight and insurance to your named port.
DDP
Delivered Duty Paid — we cover everything to your door, including import duty.

How an order runs

Four steps, each with a name against it.

  1. 01

    Specification and CAD review

    An engineer reads your drawing, flags anything unmanufacturable or expensive to hold, and confirms grade, tolerance and finish in writing before anything is priced.

    1–2 business days

  2. 02

    Sample and material testing

    First article or material sample against your specification, with the test data and material certificate that back it. You approve the sample before bulk starts.

    5–15 days

  3. 03

    Bulk production with inspection

    Production under the approved sample, with dimensional inspection and, where the part calls for it, CMM or non-destructive testing during the run rather than after it.

    10–30 days

  4. 04

    Door-to-door freight

    Export packing to sea or air standard, full documentation pack, and freight on FOB, CIF or DDP terms with the tracking reference sent on dispatch.
